Scorpio partners with Symantec to deliver Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 workshops

Ghost Solution suite (GSS) 2.0 is a highly functional toolset for deploying O/S and applications throughout a Windows network infrastructure. It is designed to manage migrations and upgrades, as well as provide swift recovery and software maintenance. The current version was developed specifically with Vista in mind and contains useful features aimed at companies planning to migrate their desktops to Vista in the near future.

Whether it is a desktop migration or infrastructure management, GSS 2.0 is powerful enough to help you manage the task with great efficiency and reliability. Fully harnessing the diverse features of the product requires a certain amount of learning, and an appreciation of some of the key areas of the Windows environment in which it is being deployed.

Scorpio has years of experience with the Ghost products, managing large desktop polulations and performing successful upgrades and migrations. Its consultants and engineers are fully trained in Microsoft and Symantec products and so we were well placed to participate in the design, and be wholly responsible for the delivery, of the GSS 2.0 workshops.

The workshops have several objectives.

Firstly, to instruct clients in using GSS 2.0 in their environments through practical hands-on tasks referencing their unique circumstances - thereby significantly shorten the learning and deployment time.

Secondly, to provide clients the means to extend their use of GSS 2.0 and get a better return from the investment in the software.

Lastly, to ensure that mass upgrades and migrations can be carried out trouble free - in other words avoiding known risks rather than learning the hard way, in a live environment.
